Haley | Super mom | photos by Alyssia B Photography

So Alyssia Baird (Alyssia B Photography) is an amazing woman and a friend of mine. She came up with a beautiful way to give back this year, she is taking nominations for women who could use a few hours just about them. She is donating her time and skills to provide a free photo shoot for the special women and capture some moments of them in their every day lives. She asked if I wanted to be a part of it, and I jumped all over it. I loved the idea!

Jump over to her blog (link above) to see a bit about Haley's story,

Here's her before, and I just love how you can see how happy she is . She's such a special woman and the twinkle in her eye kills me.

Thank you alyssia for letting me be a part of such a love filled project, and also for always getting the best makeup shots. :)

Nhiya Kay | Cozy Romantic Inspiration Shoot

I'm naturally drawn to the words: soft, romantic, blush, cozy, warm and anything else like them, so this shoot was definitely my cup of tea! Nhiya Kaye Photography KILLED IT with this shoot, along with the other amazing vendors. I always admire the people who put these amazing shoots together, it's so much work to see their vision come to life.

here is a before and after of the adorable and hilarious model, Amanda-

and here are only a few of the amazing photos from Nhiya Kaye Photography-

I must say, I'm not always super jazzed about hair. I like it but I don't feel like I am very good at it. But I absolutely love how this up-do turned out. :)

a few Before and Afters | and some brow talk

February was a big month for ladies to do special photo shoots for their men! I love it! I have gotten to meet so many amazing women. Here are a few before and after shots of the makeup (and sometimes hair) that I've done recently.

(no editing or retouching has been done)

I couldn't stop telling her how much I loved her eyebrows...they were amazing and full and had the perfect arch! Ladies: DO NOT OVERPLUCK YOUR EYEBROWS! Eventually they will stop growing back. Kind of like when your mom told you to stop crossing your eyes or they would get stuck like that...except this is real life. Your eyebrows will stop freaking growing back! IF you have already done the damage and they are very sparse, STEP AWAY FROM THE TWEEZERS. This is hard, I know, but I've done it. Grow them out for at least 6 weeks. The brow serums they make are usually very effective, and can help the growing out process, but do your research first before applying anything to your skin. Then once they are full, please go to a professional. Maybe not a mall kiosk, a real brow expert. See if your local department store has an Anastasia of Beverly Hills counter. Look on your social media for brow hashtags. Look at their work before you trust them around with tweezers. End of rant.

She asked for some curls that weren't too "done", In order to do that  I left the bottom 1-2 inches out of the curling iron. I was freaking out over her hair color! It was amazing. I think the loose beachy curls really complimented all the dimension in her hair.

Elizabeth Cooper Deisgn | 2015 gown line

A few weeks ago I got to be part of such a fun shoot! A local wedding gown shop owner asked to me to do hair and makeup for her 2015 line of gowns. Elizabeth Cooper Design is a Utah based company who designs modest, unique and affordable wedding gowns. There were 3 adorable models who wore the dresses so well, and had me drooling over their gorgeous features. Kristina Curtis did the photography, and can I just say...I love with this woman! She is not only obviously talented, but she is soooo much fun, and sweet , and beautiful, and funny, and I could go on and on.

Here are some photos from that day...
